About Laura Jacobs
My name is Laura Jacobs. I’m originally from Wahpeton, ND. I have been a Juvenile Court Services Officer in Sioux Falls, SD since November of 2006. I received my B.A. in Psychology with emphases in Clinical Psychology and Human Development as well as an M.A. in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. David is a dear friend and colleague of mine. When he asked me to join the Board for the Khor Wakow School Project, I saw it as an amazing opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of hundreds of people. The largest contribution I could make was to collaborate with David in telling his story in the form of a children’s book. ‘David’s Journey’ does exactly that and will provide education and perspective about what it means to be a refugee. I’m honored to be a part of this project.
